The Rise and Fall of Kings

Arcanum X is called the Wheel of Fortune, and is related to the Hebrew letter Yod, meaning hand or power.  Mouni Sadhu says the hieroglyph of this arcana is a man’s forefinger, stressing the active power of the Man-microcosm. The magicians of Egypt reached a point in their duel with Moses where they were unable to match his skills, and they told Pharaoh that it was “the finger of God”.  But here we see the finger of man portrayed.  There are multiple examples of this hieroglyph seen on the gravestones of Freemasons, and in the football stands where vain men wave huge foam fingers.

This chapter is lengthy, stressing its importance with  Mouni Sadhu.  Given that the gulf ever widens, with each Arcanum, between our author and me, I will concentrate on his main theme which is that of the ten emanations of the Sephiroth.    Mouni Sadhu also writes extensively on the Lord’s prayer, blaspheming it as he attempts to conform it to this tenth trump.  He gives this card three names besides the major titles of Rota Fortunae and the Sphinx.  This, as a  ternary he defines as Testamentum, Quabbalah, and Fortuna.

The goddess of Fortune is mentioned in the Old Testament as that  troop translated from the Hebrew word Gad.  Also in the same verse is mentioned that  number which refers to the goddess Meni, or Number.  Thus we read in Isaiah 65:11-12, “But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number.  Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:  because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.”

It is strange to me that most portrayals of the Sephiroth call it the tree of life. I have shown one image which displays the twenty-two paths of Tarot and has the serpent intertwined in this “tree”.  In Genesis 3 we see the serpent associated with the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But after God cursed the serpent and Adam and Eve, he stationed cherubims and a flaming sword which turned every way to keep the way of the tree of life.  Thus the serpent is never to be found on the tree of life, for he is associated with Death.

When Jesus was tempted by the Devil, we remember that “the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.  And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will give it.  If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall me thine.” (Luke 4:5-7) He was rebuked by Jesus who said, “Get thee behind me Satan:  for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

Thus in Arcanum X we see Satan as the Sphinx guarding the way of the Devil, the knowledge of the tree of good and evil and overseeing a wheel of fortune.  Now we only need to take a quick visit to Las Vegas to see that a large Sphinx has been set up, and also many wheels of fortune, luring gamblers near and far to place their bets on this crooked system.

Ten in the Bible has many applications such as the number of rebellions of Israel in the wilderness, and fire coming down from heaven.  I am going to focus in on the concept of the ten horns of the beast which are ten kings. Daniel 7:24 says, “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise:  and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.”  We have already first seen Arcanum X as Satan in his seat allowing the rise or fall of lesser kings in so far as they worship him.  But this arcana, as Mouni Sadhu, reminds us, also displays the finger of Man.  There is a king who will sit in the seat of Satan and below him will be three kings on the wheel of fortune. If we examine the illustration on this tarot card, we see three personages rising and falling on the wheel of this trump.

Also, we find in Revelation 17:10-11 that “there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.  And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.”  Thus if someone is so inclined, it might be worth while to look at the divisions of the wheel itself, for there are eight spokes: four with symbols, and four without.

Revelation 17:12 says, “And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.  These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.”  Perhaps their one mind is the Sephiroth, their power is Yod, the hand/power, and their strength is Arcanum XI. The numerology associated with this verse ties it in with Daniel 7:24, the Sephiroth, and the downfall of America on an altar.

Verse 16 then tell us, “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.” The numerology of this verse reveals the Return Blow of vengeance against the queen of the number of the Sephiroth.  If one takes the time to examine the tenth Arcanum, there is some very dark history plus prophecies revealed in the Bible found in this trump.

Meanwhile, those foolish enough to play roulette with the wheel of Satan, do so at their own risk.  As one gambler told me, it is not a sin to gamble if you win. However, as the odds are in favor of the House of Satan winning over the long term; the house of Meni of that gambler will someday fold.

As Isaiah 66:3b-4 declares, “Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.  I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear:  but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.”
